Work for 3rd/4th Class Week Beginning April 27th

26th Apr 2020

Hello children and parents!

I hope you are all keeping well. Please find below another week of schoolwork. I am delighted that so many of you are posting work and queries through the 'seesaw' app! It's been lovely to see such fantastic schoolwork and even lovelier to be able to respond! Keep up the great work! Anyone who hasn't had a look at 'seesaw', I would encourage you to do so. It's a fantastic app that allows two-way communication between pupil/parent and teacher.

The schoolwork is a continuation of what you have already been doing. Perhaps at some point in the near future, we may be able to get schoolbooks to you and that would allow for a bit of variety in terms of schoolwork. But for now, we will keep going with the books we have to hand.

English: Read at Home pgs. 110 - 114

Read aloud and answer questions 1 - 5 on each page.

Maths: Work It Out pgs. 58 - 59. You may also do the 'Friday test'.

Please find two links to the Busy at Maths book on the topic of Time.

Now is probably a good time to begin revising our tables. This week, lets focus on x3 and x4.

Gaeilge: Read the story 'Ag Scátáil sa Pháirc' (first two links) and answer the questions (third link)

You may also do the next section of your Irish spelling book (Aonad 22)

Spelling: Spellbound pgs 56 - 57

**PLEASE NOTE THE FOLLOWING**

I believe some of you are having problems with the CJ Fallons links I've posted on the website. I'm not quite sure why that is! If you create a CJ Fallon account, you'll be able to access it.

Maths: click - primary/3rd class/maths/busy at maths/busy at maths 3 (online book) pages 94 & 95

Gaeilge: click primary/3rd class/gaeilge/bun go barr/bun go barr 3 (online book) pages 66, 67 & 68

I hope this helps.
Ms. Corbett

OPTIONAL: I know many of you are bookworms and I would love to know what you have been reading over the past few weeks! There are many excellent book review sheets available (free to download) on Twinkl.

They might be fun to fill out or alternatively, send me your own book review, stating the name and author of your book, the main characters, a brief summary of the story (without giving too much away!) and your thoughts and feelings on the book.
