This Form is to be submitted online when children are returning to school AFTER ANY ABSENCE.

Dear Parents/Guardians,

 

On Tuesday, 23rd February 2021, the Government published their plan for the next phases of return to in-school provision for students in Junior Infants to Second Class at primary level. 

  • On Monday, 1st March, the first four classes at primary level – junior and senior infants, first and second class
  • Monday, 15th March, is the target date for the return to in-school provision of the rest of primary school children - third to sixth class students
  • Remote teaching and learning provision for students in each category will cease once in-person teaching and learning provision commences for each group of students

 

A summary of the Government’s plan for the next phase of return to in-school provision for students is listed below:

  • Please submit a COVID-19 Declaration Form in advance of your child's return to school. (**This Form is to be used when children are returning to the setting after any absence**)
  • Please avoid congregating outside the school
  • Everyone must wear a mask in the vicinity of the school
  • Morning drop off arrangements and afternoon collections (via Golden/Kilfeacle GAA grounds) remain the same
  • Access to the classrooms for parents or visitors is not permitted (exception for Infant classroom on their first morning, Monday 01st March 2021)
  • All parents are asked to review our Revised COVID-19 Response Plan
  • All staff have been asked to refamiliarise themselves with relevant Covid training and the revised DES Response Plan (Feb ‘21)
  • Pupils must self-isolate or restrict their movements at home if they display any symptoms of COVID-19
  • Pupils should not return to school in the event of the following:
    1. If they are identified by the HSE as a close contact/confirmed case
    2. If they live with someone who has symptoms of the virus
    3. If they are returning from overseas (14 days quarantine is required)
  • If showing symptoms in school, a pupil will be isolated and their parents will be contacted
