Pop Art - Roy Lichtenstein Style

21st Mar 2019

This art lesson was inspired by Roy Lichtenstein who’s art style was influenced by comic strips. The children used words often found in comic books such as: wham, pow, boom, bang, zap, pow, zoom etc and then decorated them using a process called “Benday Dots”. The use of Benday dots was a hallmark of American artist Roy Lichtenstein, who enlarged and exaggerated them in many of his paintings and sculptures.
