This fortnight our theme is Food, the Restaurant and Healthy Eating.
Central to this theme is taste. After discussing all five senses, and the things we like or dislike to see, hear, smell, feel and taste, we explored how taste works through a taste test.
Each child got a chance to taste things that are sour, bitter, salty and sweet in order to explore what each taste means. Some delighted, while some shuddered as they tasted lemon wedges and natural yoghurt to get a taste of things bitter and sour. While everyone enjoyed getting a taste of salty and sweet with a sample of popcorn and sweets.
