Information regarding school work after Easter break.

16th Apr 2020

School work for each class will continue to be posted on the school website on a weekly basis from Monday 20th April. Every Monday morning, a new week of work will be posted.

We will also be using an app called 'Seesaw'. Seesaw is an online platform that can be downloaded to a tablet/phone or accessed via a laptop (www.seesaw.me) and enables communication between pupils/parents and teacher. Each class teacher has set up their class on Seesaw and user codes for each child will be sent by text in the coming days. You may log in using the code allocated to you (every student has their own code) and upload any work you may want the teacher to see. You may also post any questions you or your child has regarding work and the teacher will be able to respond directly to this.

This app is being used purely as a support mechanism and to enable two-way contact between pupil and teacher. It is NOT compulsory. Any queries you may have may also be directed to our school email address (goldenns@yahoo.ie)  School work will continue to be posted on the school website as already indicated.

Mr. Lyng takes up his new post in Foynes on April 20th. Ms Corbett will assume the role of acting principal until such time as a new principal can be appointed. Mr. Lyng will continue to post work for 5th/6th class on a weekly basis and Ms. Kelly will be available to answer any queries relating to that work through the Seesaw app or school email.

We really appreciate the hard work of students and indeed parents since March 12th and we hope you are all keeping safe.
